The Leeds Cross Country Final took place 21st February 2018 in the glorious setting of Temple Newsam park. Participating schools having qualified from the North West heat in Otley. Approximately 1000 children took part from across the city running a very muddy and hilly course to earn a place in the West Yorkshire School Games.
It was fantastic to see so many young people enjoying long distance running, and this is a credit to primary staff who are delivering programmes such as the daily mile to get children more active.
Schools included: Rawdon Littlemoor, West End, Westbrook Lane, St Margarets, Guiseley, Froebelian, St Joseph's Otley, All Saints, The Whartons, Ashfield and Tranmere Park.
